Martins Run is situated in a wooded pasture surrounded by trees, lilacs and stately homes just off of Highway 252 in Delaware County, near the picturesque Springton Reservoir in Media and adjacent to the Paxon Hollow Golf Course. The community has a wide range of residences and amenities including a swimming pool, game room, gift shop, beauty shop and salon, auditorium where university classes, lectures and musical performances are regularly held, as well as a library that is a "real jewel."
Martins Run is a continuing care retirement community that has independent living residences that include dining, housekeeping, transportation and participation in all of the programs of Martins Run included in the monthly fee. Additionally Martins Run has assisted living, rehabilitation and nursing care services available on-site, should they be needed.
Martins Run welcomes all denominations but has been, traditionally, a Jewish community that celebrates the Sabbath and all of the Jewish holidays. The residents of Martins Run represent a broad range with respect to religious observance from some who are very religious to those who consider themselves secular. And Martins Run is planning to diversify by actively reaching out to prospective residents of all faiths.
